The American Hoonigan team, which in addition to preparing cars for racing also runs its own blog, presented a new episode of its This vs. That project. The new race, which took place at the legendary British drag strip Santa Pod Raceway in Bedfordshire, featured a 20-year-old Honda Integra Type R and a fresh BMW M3 sedan, which not only had large-scale tuning of their power units, but also serious preparation for straight-line racing.

The 2002 Acura coupe weighs 2,800 pounds and packs a 909-horsepower, 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that’s mated to a 5-speed sequential transmission and all-wheel drive.

The 2023 M3 weighs 3,723 pounds, which accounts for 900 horsepower from a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
