The new Hyundai Ioniq 5 XRT 2025 with an unusual body kit was launched for testing. The decision to equip an electric car with a plastic body has several goals: it matches the off-road capabilities of the car and increases its aesthetic appeal.

Plastic body cladding provides additional protection for vulnerable areas of the vehicle’s exterior, such as lower body panels, from rocks, debris and other hazards encountered during off-road driving. This helps minimize potential damage and ensures longevity for a vehicle designed for off-pavement use.

It’s worth noting that all Hyundai XRT vehicles, including models like the Tucson, Palisade, Santa Cruz and Santa Fe, share similar rugged trim and design cues. There is no information yet on the characteristics of this Ioniq 5 (photo: Hyundai; carscoops.com).

Meanwhile, a petrol-electric Porsche 911 is being prepared for the official presentation. The car will appear very soon.
