Autostat publishes the results of a study of the residual value of cars presented on the Russian secondary market. The segment of domestic four-year-old cars that have the best residual value in the first quarter of 2024 was considered. In first place was the Lada Largus, which can be sold for more than it cost at the beginning of 2020.

The four-year-old Largus’ Residual Value index averages 168.7 percent, the study says. The list also included two more Lada models, which took second and third places, respectively. This is a Granta with a 1.6-liter engine and an automatic transmission, the residual value of which is 166.9 percent, as well as a Vesta with a station wagon, equipped with a 1.6-liter engine coupled with a manual transmission – its value is 162.1 percent .

A similar study was conducted in February this year, when Largus was also recognized as the most liquid four-year-old model in the B-class. At that time, the station wagon could be sold for 54.1 percent more than its original cost in 2020. In other words, by mid-2024, the residual value of the model had improved.

The same applies to two other popular Lada models. As of February this year, Vesta had a residual value index of 144.6 percent, while Granta had a residual value index of 134.8 percent.

If we talk about other segments and not only about domestic cars, the situation in the secondary market is as follows: in the B-SUV segment (compact crossovers) the leaders are Geely Coolray, Chery Tiggo 4 and Lada 4×4, and among C-class crossovers – Chery Tiggo 7 Pro, Changan CS55 and Geely Atlas.
