At the International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2024), which opened today in St. Petersburg, AVTOVAZ showed a prototype of the e-Niva SUV – this is a Niva Travel converted to an electric power plant.

The electric motor has a rated power of 82 hp, and at peak it can produce up to 163 hp. It is connected to the transfer case, allowing the standard low-range and lock-up drive to be retained.

The electric motor is powered by a 34-kilowatt battery, which provides a modest range of 175 km.

The electric car also received an updated design, including a redesigned bumper, full LED headlights, a more expressive bumper shape and a larger grille.

The production model Niva Travel, which will be updated in 2025, may receive a similar appearance. This model will be equipped with a 1.8-liter engine.
