A real tourbillon was made in honor of the Bugatti Tourbillon hypercar

The American watch and jewelry brand Jacob & Co, which has long collaborated with the French brand Bugatti, dedicated its new product in honor of the Bugatti Tourbillon hypercar. And as if to confuse not only the Internet algorithms that associate the car with exclusive chronographs, the Manhattan-based manufacturer named the expensive watch… Jacob & Co Bugatti Tourbillon. Only 250 copies will be made from titanium or precious materials, priced from $340,000.

The watch is made from 557 components, and features a 30-second double-step flying tourbillon. It has a double power reserve, a crown that mimics the car’s control knobs, and subdials that replicate the design of the hypercar’s dashboard and tachometer.

Jacob & Co said ten design elements were taken directly from the car. In addition to those mentioned above, the company noted that the body shape is the same as that of a Bugatti, with a front grille flanked by two side radiator air intakes. On the sides of the body are two large sapphire crystals, reminiscent of the car’s side windows in shape and tint.

The watch, the first 150 pieces of which will be made of black titanium, features a model of a V16 engine with a movable crankshaft and pistons. The titanium miniature has a 20-second animation showing the engine in action. The second batch of 100 chronographs will have a case made of precious materials.
