British dealer HR Owen has put up for sale a copy of the Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M, which was made in 2008 in honor of the 16th victory of the Ferrari factory team in the Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship. Based on the F430 Spider open sports car, the company released a limited edition Scuderia Spider 16M model, which featured an Apple iPod player built into the center console. And now a rare sports car with an unusual option has appeared on the market.

Like most of the 499 examples of the Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M, the car is painted in Rosso Corsa with a Tricolore decorative stripe in the colors of the Italian national flag. The interior is finished in lacquered carbon fiber, and the seats are upholstered in black leather with red stitching and textured fabric inserts.

A special feature of the model is the iPod Touch as standard – the iconic Apple player has its own docking station built into the front panel, since the gadget replaces the on-board multimedia system. Apple offered a 32-gigabyte version of the iPod Touch, but Ferrari chose to use a 16-gigabyte model instead to maintain continuity with the 16 in the sports car’s name.

As an alternative, the car was also offered with a traditional Becker Cascade radio with iPod and Bluetooth connectivity. The stock iPod Touch came in an Alcantara case with a quick reference guide. The Scuderia Spider 16M is equipped with a 4.3-liter V8, which in the limited version produces 510 horsepower. At the same time, the sports car is 80 kilograms lighter than the base Ferrari F430 Spider, due to the expanded use of carbon fiber in the design.
