Several advertisements for the sale of a new Xiaomi model, an electric sedan the size of a Porsche Taycan, appeared on classifieds. In China itself, the new product will enter the market only in a week and prices have not yet been announced, but Russian “gray” dealers indicated the price: 5.3-5.6 million rubles. The Chinese Cars portal noticed that some ads even indicate the minimum mileage, and at least one seller claims that the car is cleared by customs, but does not have a title.

How the Xiaomi model, which had not yet debuted in China, could already “run” its first kilometers, get to Russia and acquire a price in rubles is unknown. All advertisements have one thing in common: the car is in pre-order status.

Xiaomi SU7 debuted at the end of 2023. Then it became known that ex-BMW Group designer Chris Bangle was involved in the first automobile project of the Chinese tech giant – he acted as a consultant. The electric car is based on the Modena platform; it also has a 101-kilowatt-hour battery integrated into the chassis, wrapped in 17 layers of high-voltage insulation and equipped with a thermal control system.

Two versions are announced for the SU7 – with one electric motor with a capacity of 299 horsepower or with two with a total power of 673 horsepower. They take 5.28 and 2.78 seconds to accelerate to 100 km/h, respectively, with a top speed of 210 and 265 kilometers per hour, and a range of 668 and 800 kilometers.

The electric car is equipped with a Xiaomi Pilot autopilot: it includes 11 cameras, three millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic sensors and two Nvidia Drive Orin computing platforms. It will also have a multimedia system with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip and the HyperOS operating system, and the screen diagonal will be 16.1 inches. In addition, a 25-speaker audio system with surround sound support is mentioned.
