The authors of the YouTube channel Carwow organized another race in a straight line, in which two “charged” German cars took part. The rival of the Audi RS 7 Performance liftback was the BMW M3 Touring station wagon of the current generation – the result was a duel of not only two brands, but also two body types or two cars of different classes. The main intrigue was what would have a greater impact on the result – more power or less weight.

The Audi RS 7 Performance liftback has a 4.0-liter turbocharged V8 developing 630 horsepower and 800 Nm. Like its rival, the model has an 8-speed automatic transmission and proprietary all-wheel drive, and the weight of such a car is 2065 kilograms.

Under the hood of the BMW M3 Touring is a classic 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine for this generation with 510 horsepower and 650 Nm. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, and the station wagon weighs 1,865 kilograms.
