In September of this year, production of the Lada Aura, an extended Vesta aimed at the comfort of rear-row passengers, should begin. The first copies of the business sedan, which will be assembled at the beginning of the year, should go to officials – the Ministry of Finance has already ordered them. However, in addition to the “official” version, there will be a simpler option, reports the Lada Online portal: AvtoVAZ plans to adapt the Aura for use in a taxi.

The interior of this Lada Vesta Aura will be made of fabric. The instrument panel will be analogue, and the multimedia system screen will be small. A 1.6-liter engine, which is currently equipped with Vesta, will be installed under the hood. It will be paired with a manual transmission. “It’s too early to discuss other details of the taxi configuration,” the AvtoVAZ press service noted.

Lada Vesta Aura is a “long” version of Vesta, whose wheelbase has been increased by 250 millimeters. This sedan has a more comfortable second row, improved sound insulation and a retuned suspension. The version for officials will have a leather interior, with a media system with a 10-inch screen and Yandex services and a digital instrument cluster.

The car is also powered by a 1.8-liter VAZ engine with a capacity of 122 horsepower, working in tandem with a Chinese CVT.

It has already been reported that not only officials will receive Vesta Aura: it will be sold to everyone. The cost will be 25 thousand dollars (more than two million rubles).
