AvtoVAZ shared sales results for June and the first half of 2024

According to the results of the first six months, the manufacturer was able to sell 217.6 thousand cars – one and a half times more than in the same period last year. In June, 39.7 thousand cars were sold – 43 percent more than in June 2023, but less than in May of this year, when Russians bought 40.8 thousand new Lada passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.

The Lada Granta remains the sales leader: 101,377 buyers chose it in six months, which is 3.3 percent more in a year-on-year comparison. In June, 19,158 such cars were sold (+14.3 percent compared to June 2023). This is also more than in May 2024, the result of which was 18,023 units.

Vesta was sold in the amount of 64,263 units in six months (+1114.8 percent compared to 2023, which is explained by its absence on the market for most of the half-year). The June figure was 12,495 cars (+193.4 percent compared to June 2023). Compared to May 2024, which became a record for the entire history of the model, demand has fallen noticeably: then, about two and a half thousand more Vestas were bought.

The Niva Legend’s result for six months is 23,231 vehicles (+36.6 percent compared to January-June 2023). In June 2024, Russians purchased 3,361 such SUVs (+7.2 percent compared to June 2023 and exactly a hundred units more than in May).

Niva Travel was bought by 25,409 people in six months (+20.1 percent) and 4,037 in June (also +20.1 percent). Its figure in May 2024 was also lower – 3,919 units. In addition, in the last 10 days of June, AvtoVAZ managed to sell 107 Larguses: the model returned to the market on June 20.
