This year, AvtoVAZ finally restarted production of the Lada Largus, which was moved from Tolyatti to Izhevsk. Also, if you believe insiders, the Lada Niva with the Sport prefix has entered production. In addition, AvtoVAZ has other “new models, options and modifications” in stock, the company’s vice president for sales and marketing Dmitry Kostromin told reporters.

The Largus family of Izhevsk assembly will be expanded: in the fall, the Lada Largus with the Cross prefix, as well as a seven-seat station wagon, should go on sale. Since June 20, five-seat passenger station wagons and commercial vans with 1.6-liter engines with 90 or 106 hp will be available (the van is offered only with 90 hp). The price is from 1,660,000 rubles. By the way, in Belarus, Larguses are cheaper: the cost starts from the equivalent of 1.42 million Russian rubles.

Another promised new product, which will appear in the third quarter, will be the electric Lada Largus. At AvtoVAZ, it is called “the most localized Russian electric car.” In the same quarter, the Lada Vesta will be equipped with the ESC system.

At the end of the year, Vesta with manual control for people with disabilities, which was shown in early June, will appear. But small-scale production of the Lada Niva Sport SUV, according to Kostromin, has not yet begun: it will also be launched at the end of 2024. At the same time, Granta will return climate and cruise control, and the finishing materials will be updated.

In June, Lada sales slightly decreased. AvtoVAZ sold 39.7 thousand cars – about a thousand less than in May. Over the past six months, Russians bought 217.6 thousand Ladas, which is one and a half times more than the same period in 2023.
