Serial production of the practical version of Granta will start in Tolyatti in a week, on June 10. This was reported by the public “Atypical AvtoVAZ” on the social network “VKontakte” with reference to sources close to the plant. Station wagons will roll off the assembly line only in versions with the Cross prefix, the cost of which lies in the range from 1,012,000 to 1,177,000 rubles.

Lada Granta Cross is listed in the plant’s production plan, which insiders have reviewed. Judging by it, the station wagons will hit the assembly line in six trim levels and five colors: white “Glacial” (code 221), black “Panther” (672), silver metallic “Platinum” (691), dark gray metallic “Borneo” ( 633).

The last time the station wagon was seen on the assembly line was in April of this year. Within a month, 900 Quest cars were produced, and in May they were no longer in the plan, although AvtoVAZ was going to increase assembly volumes.

The Granta cross-version features unpainted plastic body kit parts designed to protect the paintwork. It also has increased ground clearance and high-profile tires.

The station wagon is equipped with a 1.6-liter eight-valve engine producing 90 horsepower and a 106-horsepower sixteen-valve engine of the same volume. The gearbox is a five-speed manual.
