The press service of the domestic concern informed the Rossiyskaya Gazeta publication about the timing of the model’s release to the market. Initially, the crossover was planned to be delivered to car dealerships in the third quarter of this year. However, AvtoVAZ President Maxim Sokolov announced an adjustment to the start of sales. Buyers will be able to purchase a car with no alternative power plant.

AvtoVAZ urged not to believe rumors about the postponement of the start of sales, emphasizing that the Lada X-Cross 5 will arrive at dealerships by the end of 2023. The new domestic crossover, which has been assembled at the former Nissan plant in St. Petersburg since June, is a copy of the Chinese model FAW Bestune T7.

The dimensions of the car are 4525 mm in length with a 2700 mm wheelbase. The front-wheel drive crossover is powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine producing 160 horsepower. The unit is paired with a robotic gearbox. Buyers will be able to purchase the new product in the Enjoy and Techno trim levels.

In early August, a photo of the X-Cross 5 crossover was published on the official Lada website. At the same time, the brand announced the imminent start of sales of the model.
