This forecast was made by experts from the consulting firm AlixPartners. Analysts believe that manufacturers from the Celestial Empire will soon begin to more actively “enter” other countries. Already at the end of this year, experts predict the global share of Chinese brands at 21 percent. At the same time, only three percent of sales will occur outside of China.

By the end of the decade, the share of Chinese automakers in the domestic market will be 72 percent. Today, this figure is 59 percent. In South and Southeast Asia, brands from the PRC will occupy 31 percent of the market instead of the current three. In the Middle East and Africa, expansion will grow from eight to 39 percent. In Central and South America – from 7 to 28 percent. In Europe, a twofold increase in the share of Chinese companies is expected – from six to 12 percent.

In six years, brands from the Celestial Empire will occupy 69 percent of the automobile market in Russia. Today, this figure is at 33 percent. This forecast is due to the fact that Chinese companies spend half as much time on developing new cars. In addition, representatives of the PRC are pursuing an aggressive pricing policy and are actively localizing production outside the country.

In early April, experts reported that Chinese manufacturers were taking market share from AvtoVAZ. At the same time, it became known that companies from the PRC account for about half of the entire auto market in our country.
