The Cadillac Optiq debuted in China in April of this year and is now entering the US market. This is a mid-size electric SUV, which is based on the Ultium architecture – the same one on which the “older” Lyriq is based. Prices have already been announced: they start at 54 thousand dollars (4.8 million rubles at today’s exchange rate). The American Cadillac Optiq will begin production in the fall of 2024.
The Optiq is the smallest electric vehicle in the green IQ family, which also includes the Lyriq, Escalade IQ and the flagship Celestiq sedan. In terms of design, the new product is closest to the Lyriq: they have identical interiors with a curved trapezoidal infotainment complex, and there is a lot in common in the exterior.

In the USA, electric cross will be offered with a dual-motor unit with a capacity of 304 horsepower and 480 Nm of torque. The Optiq has full drive. The battery capacity is 85 kilowatt-hours. On one charge, Optiq will travel 482 kilometers, and ten minutes of connection to the “fast” terminal will give 127 kilometers.
The list of standard equipment includes the proprietary Super Cruise autopilot, a 33-inch screen combining a digital instrument panel and a touchscreen multimedia system, an AKG audio system with 19 speakers and 20-inch wheels (21-inch wheels will be available for an additional fee). The model is also available in the Sport package with darkened decor.

In China, Optiq costs less: from 239.7 thousand yuan, which is equivalent to three million rubles. And there is a simple explanation for this – on the local market the model is offered not only in an all-wheel drive version with two electric motors, but also in a single-wheel drive version. This crossover has a single electric motor that develops 245 horsepower, and the battery capacity is 68.4 kilowatt-hours – it provides a range of up to 536 kilometers according to the Chinese CLTC cycle.
But the more powerful all-wheel drive version of the Optiq is equipped in China with two electric motors, the total output of which is 287 horsepower. It has a 79.7-kilowatt battery and a range of 600 kilometers. You can already buy Cadillac Optiq from China.
