Hybrid crossover entered the Russian market [год назад](https://motor.ru/news/chery-tiggo-8-pro-e-russia-03-05-2023.htm), and at the start of sales it was offered for 3,919,000, taking into account all kinds of discounts. Now the same seven-seat crossover in the only Ultimate version can be purchased for 3,700,000 – also with various promotions, including trade-in benefits. That is, the cost of the model decreased by 5.6 percent over the year. However, without discounts it is much higher and amounts to 4,930,000 rubles.
Tiggo 8 Pro e+ is the first Chery hybrid on the Russian market, but not the only one. In addition to it, Russians have access to the Tiggo 8 Pro Plug-In Hybrid and Tiggo 7 Pro Plug-In Hybrid. Chery is not going to stop there: the gas-electric Tiggo 9 and Arrizo 8 will also reach Russia.
The Tiggo 8 Pro e+ is powered by a 1.5-liter turbo engine producing 147 horsepower (210 Nm of torque). Two 88-horsepower electric motors work in tandem with it. The total output of the installation is 235 forces.

AI-92 gasoline consumption in the combined cycle is 1.3 liters per 100 kilometers; without activating the internal combustion engine, the crossover can travel up to 75 kilometers. The maximum speed is 180 kilometers per hour.
Chery, which already has a large range of controlled brands in Russia, may launch another one. A mysterious Couggo logo was discovered in the Rospatent database, the copyright holder of which is listed as Chery Automobile. The last part of the name appears to be taken from Tiggo, while the first refers to the word cougar – “cougar” in English.
