This is not the first time that Japanese fans of American cars have received limited edition versions of iconic models, one of which was the C8 generation Corvette. A Red Flame Series version with an exclusive body and interior design has been prepared for it, which will be released in a limited edition. Deliveries will begin in September, but if there are more people willing to buy the cars than cars, the right to buy the supercar will be raffled off.

Half of the 40 cars planned for production will be finished in Red Mist Metallic Tint Coat, while the other half will be finished in Carbon Flash Metallic. All coupes come with carbon fiber trim surrounding the engine bay, while convertibles will get a small clear panel in the hood so owners can see the V8 when opening and closing the roof.

The 20 cars finished in Red Mist Metallic Tint Coat come standard with full-length dual racing stripes, Carbon Flash 5-spoke aluminum wheels and red brake calipers. The interior features light beige upholstery, GT2 bucket seats and the Stealth interior trim package.

The Carbon Flash Metallic trim is slightly different. It features 20-spoke aluminum wheels with red stripes, and its interior is painted in Adrenaline Red Dip, which compensates for the more subtle exterior trim. Prices for the Red Mist Metallic Tint Coat and Carbon Flash Metallic Coupe models start at ¥17,400,000 ($108,000), while the Convertible versions start at ¥18,900,000 ($117,000).

Each of these cars is sold in only one country.
