Geely will officially bring a business sedan and three crossovers to Russia

The Chinese Cars portal found out that in our country they plan to sell the updated Preface L, Starray, Atlas Cool and Okavango L. The publication’s source clarified that plans may change. Geely itself keeps the models secret, but the body type and class of new products are confirmed: a D-segment sedan, two C-segment crossovers and a D-segment crossover are expected.

Currently, the Russian Geely line consists of five models (if you do not take into account the “old” Coolray and its “clone” BelGee X50), but a significant expansion is being prepared next year. Firstly, they will bring us the Okavango L family seven-seater crossover, which in the Middle Kingdom costs comparable to the new Atlas. Secondly, two varieties of the new Atlas will appear at once: the Starray crossover and its “younger brother”.

Finally, the passenger car segment will be replenished with the long-awaited Preface business sedan. Moreover, the most advanced version, which entered the Chinese market only two months ago, will be immediately brought to our country. For now, the four-door is available only as a hybrid, but the Russian specification may be different, because the design provides for more conservative combinations with a Volvo turbo engine.

Probably, the Geely Starray will be the first to be brought to our country: the first copies of the model are already in the CIS, the Vehicle Type Approval certificate has been received, so nothing is stopping sales. According to unofficial data, after the debut of the new Atlas, the Atlas Pro crossover will be renamed BelGee.
