The Chinese Automobiles portal found photos of a prototype of the “nine” with factory antichrome and other lighting equipment on social networks. There can be no talk of an update, because the Haval H9 went into production only two months ago. It looks like an alternative exterior option without retro-style optics is on the way. The black package includes a modified radiator grille, bumpers and wheels.

It seems that Haval designers were inspired by the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 250, which offers two lighting options depending on the configuration. The version with round headlights and modular lights has already been revealed in Moscow, and now an SUV with square dotted DRLs and rectangular taillights is coming.

Judging by the photos, the dimensions will remain unchanged: from bumper to bumper of the new product 5070 millimeters. For the second generation Haval H9, a 2.4 turbodiesel (186 hp) and a 2.0 gasoline turbo engine (224 hp) have been confirmed. The first is combined with a 9-speed automatic, the second – with an 8-speed gearbox with a torque converter. Permanent all-wheel drive with a reduction gear is mandatory.

Russians have been promised a new Haval H9 since last year, and production of the first-generation SUVs at the plant in the Tula region has long ceased. Initially, it was assumed that the “nine” would reach our dealers in August, but now these plans are in doubt, because sales have not yet begun even in China.
