For this reason, the company is recalling 32,156 crossovers produced at the Haval plant in the Tula region from December 1, 2022 to December 27, 2023. The recall campaign was approved by Rosstandart – the department explained that there is a possibility of moisture getting into the connector of the wiring harness under the driver’s seat. This may cause a short circuit and melting of the connector.

Owners of vehicles affected by the recall will be notified to visit a service center. There, the machines will be checked and, if necessary, the wiring harness connectors will be modified to eliminate the risk of moisture ingress. Repairs will be carried out at the expense of the automaker. It is possible to independently check whether the car is on the recall lists – through the service or on the Rosstandart website.

Haval F7 and F7x are crossovers and cross-coupes, which are presented in Russia in two versions, with a 1.5-liter engine producing 150 horsepower and a two-liter engine producing 190 horsepower. Both engines are combined with a seven-speed “robot”, and the drive is front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. As of the end of January, F7 costs from 2.4 million rubles, and F7x – from 2.5 million for the 2023 version.

Both models are popular among Russians. Thus, over the past year, Haval sold more than 118.8 thousand cars in Russia, almost 30 thousand of which were F7 and F7x. All of them were subject to review.
