The national pride of the Celestial Empire, the premium car brand Hongqi, is preparing to introduce its newest electric car for the Chinese market. We are talking about the all-electric crossover Hongqi EHS7 2025, which will become the second “green” car in the line after the EH7 sedan. The world premiere of the ambitious new product will take place at the upcoming Beijing Motor Show.

In essence, the Hongqi EHS7 is a “raised” and more spacious version of the EH7 electric sedan, using the same platform and technical filling. It is known that the crossover will be offered with one or two electric motors: the single-wheel drive version is equipped with a 253-horsepower unit on the rear axle, and the all-wheel drive version is additionally equipped with a 202-horsepower engine on the front wheels. The power reserve will be provided by batteries with a capacity of 75, 85 or 111 kW/h with the ability to quickly charge. Other key features include dynamic acceleration to a top speed of 200 km/h and extensive equipment including an advanced driver assistance system with lidar.

As for design, the production Hongqi EHS7 will largely retain the futuristic look of the concept car presented a year ago. The large 5-meter body (3-meter wheelbase) is visible in spy shots from the production line. The interior is also dominated by recognizable solutions with a pair of touch displays diagonal 15.5 and 6 inches, respectively, complemented by a projection screen. (photo: www.autohome.com.cn)
