Direct sales on the Internet will be established by the Automobile Technologies company, which produces Citroen C5 Aircross crossovers at the PSMA Rus plant in Kaluga. Gazeta.Ru writes about this with reference to the company’s director for strategic development, Pavel Bezruchenko. The cars will begin to be sold today – May 20.

Not only Russian-assembled cars will be on sale, but also those imported through parallel imports, Bezruchenko clarified. At the start, purchasing online and delivering a car on a car carrier will be available only to customers in Moscow and within a radius of 250 kilometers from it. Next, the delivery geography will be expanded.

It will be possible to get insurance, a loan and trade-in your old car, just like in a face-to-face transaction at a dealer, Bezruchenko said. He also promised some incentives for corporate clients.

Affordable crossovers that would be useful in Russia The Chinese wanted to buy one of the French brands Stellantis AvtoVAZ cars may appear on Wildberries

So far, only one car is being assembled in Kaluga – the Citroen C5 Aircross crossover from Chinese car kits. In addition to it, Automotive Technologies brings Citroen C5X, as well as Peugeot 2008, 4008 and 5008 to Russia.

By the end of this year, they promise to deliver another SUV to the Kaluga assembly line – a crossover or SUV. In addition, the new owner of the plant is looking at liftbacks and LCVs. The French, apparently, will not interfere with production: in France they were unhappy with the restart of Citroen assembly with the help of the Chinese, but they do not want to spoil relations with China. It is futile to sue Russia in the current conditions.
