Colleagues noted that although the basis was an old Mercedes-Benz SL 500 R230, the proportions look good, the multi-spoke wheels are almost identical to the concept car from seven years ago, the custom optics are neatly made, and the interior is upholstered in cream-colored leather.

The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 concept car was first announced in metal in April. A homemade car, created on the basis of a 2006 convertible, took to the streets of Nizhny Novgorod. The craftsmen radically redesigned the body, changed the lighting equipment and wheels, and selected a bright color in the spirit of a show car.

The Americans recalled that Mercedes-Maybach did not decide to mass produce the Vision 6, but in Russia they sold the “sexy convertible” on their own. The comprehensive redesign made the old two-door “unlike any other Mercedes on the road.” At the same time, the traditional filling has been preserved, because the chassis and power plant are taken from the R230.

The project budget is still unknown, but it seems that there were no problems with registration: the Maybach prototype received “beautiful” Nizhny Novgorod license plates and regularly drives along the streets of the million-plus city.
