Today, cars of the new Russian brand began to be shipped to car dealerships. Sales should start in a week, on May 27, but one of the dealers has already revealed to the No Limits Telegram channel the cost of the brand’s “firstborn” – X-Cross 7. The starting price of the next product of Russian-Chinese badge engineering is 2.5 million rubles. That is, it is noticeably cheaper than the “donor” Tiggo 7 Pro of 2020.

For 2.5 million rubles, dealerships offer to book an Xcite car by making an advance payment of five thousand rubles. The price of the original Chery model, for comparison, is from 2.82 million rubles.

It was possible to lower the bar by more than 300 thousand, probably thanks to state compensation for the scrap fee for a car produced at the former St. Petersburg site of Nissan. Chery paid the full rate for the imported foreign car, which, by the way, has already disappeared from the Russian website.

Xcite X-Cross 7 crossovers began to be shipped to car dealerships “Volga” was resurrected: three models were presented at once The Federation Council proposed making foreign cars more expensive every year

Xcite X-Cross 7 differs from the “Chinese” only in nameplates and assembly location. The crossover is powered by a one and a half liter turbo engine with a capacity of 147 horsepower, paired with a CVT. The car has only front-wheel drive.

Let us remind you that they plan to sell the brand’s cars through AvtoVAZ car dealerships. At the same time, AvtoVAZ is no longer listed as the owner of the former Nissan enterprise: in February it was transferred to the NAMI Institute, subordinate to the Ministry of Industry and Trade. It was reported that the Togliatti auto giant formally got rid of the former Nissan Manufacturing Rus to minimize the risks associated with sanctions.
