According to experts, the reason for this lies in a number of factors at once. This was reported by the president of the Russian Automobile Dealers Association, Alexey Podshchekoldin. The expert stated that in the overwhelming majority of cases, the final price of Chinese cars increases two or more times. One of the factors, the specialist named the congestion of the railway network and logistics in general.

As an example, the expert cited the situation with a Jetta VA3 aged from one to three years, which is purchased by a legal entity. The cost of the model in China starts from 74,074 yuan (about a million rubles). In Russia, the car can be purchased for at least 2.3 million rubles.

Podshchekoldin stated that the initial cost of the car is supplemented by a recycling fee of 300,000 rubles, a customs duty of about 150,000 rubles, as well as VAT of 230,000 rubles, an excise tax of six thousand rubles, and a customs duty of 32,000 rubles. In addition, the final price includes delivery costs, which will amount to about 240,000 rubles, as well as a distributor and dealer margin of 153,000 and 204,000 rubles, respectively.

As a result, dealers earn about one hundred thousand rubles “net” after taxes. The rest of the amount is made up of numerous fees and duties.

At the end of May, experts named the cars that are most quickly resold in Russia. It is noteworthy that the first places were taken by models that are not officially available in our country.
