The Telegram channel “Russian Automobile” learned that Russian-Chinese SUVs have begun to arrive at dealers. The official start of sales is scheduled for May 27, that is, there is about a week left before the publication of price lists. The idea of selling refurbished Cherys under the Lada brand was abandoned: a new brand, Xcite, was invented for the 2020 Tiggo 7 Pro.

The Chery company has freed up a niche for the Xcite brand: back in early April, the original Tiggo 7 Pro was removed from the brand’s official website, and by the end of May, dealers may run out of stocks of crossovers. The official presentation of the X-Cross 7 took place a month ago, but specifications and prices have not yet been disclosed.

How did the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro cope with the crash test? Photos of the failed crossover Lada X-Cross 7 Tiggo 7 Pro Max have been published: what is the difference with the regular 7 Pro?

The participation of both AvtoVAZ and Chery in the Xcite X-Cross 7 project will not be advertised, but the Volzhsky Automobile Plant continues to test the Chinese crossover, although formally “Avtozavod St. Petersburg” has been transferred under the management of NAMI. The “seven” under the Xcite brand will retain a combination of a 1.5-liter turbo engine, a CVT and front-wheel drive, and a feature of the model may be a full winter package already “in the base”.

Apart from the nameplate, the only external difference between the XCite X-Cross 7 and the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is the radiator grille in the spirit of crossovers… made in Italy! As for prices, the new product will definitely be cheaper than the updated Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max, which costs from 2.62 million rubles for the 2024 release year. The production plan for 2024 is 25 thousand cars.
