The Italian automaker is actively developing its model range electrification program. Following the Revuelto hybrid supercar, the Urus SE gas-electric crossover appeared, and now the Lamborghini 634 is being prepared for its premiere – under this in-house index the successor to the Huracan model is known, which will also receive the status of High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV). The car received a hybrid power plant corresponding to its name.

The supercar will have a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, a hybrid system that includes three electric motors, and an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission from Revuelto. The engine power will be 800 horsepower in the range from 9000-9750 rpm, and the maximum engine speed will reach 10,000 rpm, which makes the new V8 unique among road cars.

To achieve peak torque of 730 Nm between 4,000 and 7,000 rpm, engineers installed a flat-plane crankshaft, titanium connecting rods, 350 bar direct injection, heavy-duty valve timing and a dry sump.

The electrical system is located between the internal combustion engine and the gearbox – it is an inverter and an oil-cooled electric motor with a capacity of 150 horsepower. Two more electric motors are installed on the front axle – their performance has not yet been disclosed. The total output of the power plant has not been declassified, since the characteristics of the model will be gradually announced on the eve of the official premiere of the car.
