Maserati Launches €2.5 Million Electric Boat

It’s called Tridente and was built in collaboration with Vita Power and Hodgdon Yachts. Its 600 horsepower engine allows the boat to reach speeds of 74 kilometers per hour, while its 252 kilowatt-hour battery allows it to sail for up to 70 kilometers.

Maserati has unveiled the electric boat Tridente (translated from Italian as trident) worth 2.5 million euros. Its design was developed in Italy. The power plant was created in England by Vita Power. And the construction is being carried out by the American shipyard Hodgdon Yachts, which specializes in tenders. The boat can accommodate up to 10 passengers and offers everything for daytime walks on lakes and along sea coasts. It has a ZipWake stabilization system, a bathing platform, a shower, a refrigerator and even a toilet.

The Tridente takes about nine months to build. The hull is made of carbon fiber. The boat’s battery operates at 400 volts and has a total capacity of 252 kilowatt-hours (four 63 kWh units). Electric motors with a power output of about 600 horsepower drive Mercury propellers and allow acceleration to 40 knots – 74 kilometers per hour. The cruising range is small: 50-70 kilometers. But thanks to the support of fast charging, the battery can be filled from 10 to 90 percent within an hour.

In the photo above, next to the Tridente, the GranCabrio Folgore electric convertible is posing, which recently received a special version in honor of the 50th anniversary of the super Tuscan wine Tignanello. The sports car was painted in Terra di Tignanello metallic, the interior was covered with Vegea vegetable leather and decorated with natural wood. The car will be released in a single copy and sold at a charity auction.
