With the change of generation, the model also changed its form factor – now it is a cross-coupe, which also acquired the prefix “E” to the index. Moreover, the all-terrain vehicle became the first model not only of Peugeot, but also of the entire Stellantis concern, built on the latest STLA Medium platform, designed for electric cars. It is worth noting that the 3008 had an electric version before, but now it is a completely different car, with new batteries and motors.

The new Peugeot E-3008 is presented in three modifications. The initial one is equipped with an NMC battery with a capacity of 73 kilowatt-hours and one electric motor (214 hp). The average Dual Motor differs only in dual-motor all-wheel drive (326 hp), and in both cases the range on one charge is 525 kilometers. At the top of the range is the Long Range version with a 98-kilowatt-hour battery and a range of up to 700 kilometers. This E-3008 is exclusively mono-wheel drive, and its electric motor produces 231 horsepower.

All E-3008s will have a black roof. The body palette includes six colors: Okenite White, Pearl Black, Artense Grey, Titanium Grey, the new Ingaro Blue and Obsession Blue, which, thanks to two-color pigments in the composition, changes shade from blue to green depending on the lighting.

The premiere of electric versions in no way means a abandonment of the internal combustion engine. The E-3008 will be followed by modifications with “mild hybrid” and plug-in units. According to unofficial information, the basic crossover will receive a 1.2 turbo-four with a 48-volt electric motor built into the six-speed robot, and a more powerful version will be offered with a 1.6 turbo-four and a larger-capacity battery.

As for external transformations, from now on the 3008 is a coupe-shaped crossover with swollen rear pillars, a spoiler on the fifth door and a dynamic silhouette. In the cabin there is a newfangled Panoramic i-Cockpit with a curved 21-inch diagonal display, which is installed above the steering wheel and combines the dashboard with a multimedia system and a head-up display. But such a cockpit will only be available in an expensive configuration; in the basic version, the E-3008 has two conventional 10-inch split screens. For the Peugeot E-3008, adaptive “pixel” optics, heated seats and ventilation for the front seats are announced.

The Peugeot E-3008 is produced at the Stellantis plant in Sochaux, France. The first deliveries of electric crossovers are expected towards the end of the year.
