Great Wall showed the interior and off-road capabilities of the Tank 700 SUV

The Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor is preparing to launch sales of the new flagship SUV Tank 700 2024. This frame SUV with a rechargeable hybrid powertrain will appear in showrooms on January 30.

On the eve of the premiere, the manufacturer revealed details about the off-road capabilities of the model and showed photographs of its interior. The Tank 700 is equipped with a powerful Hi4-T hybrid system, combining a 3-liter turbocharged V6 and an electric motor. The total output is 523 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque. Thanks to the high ground clearance of 255 mm, a transfer case and lockable cross-axle differentials, the SUV can ford a depth of 970 mm, and the approach and departure angles reach 32 and 33 degrees, respectively.

The interior is made in a traditional style with an abundance of physical buttons. There are ventilated seats, a Harman Kardon audio system, and a digital instrument panel. It is expected that the Tank 700 will go on sale in China in two trim levels at prices ranging from 500 to 550 thousand yuan (about 70-78 thousand dollars). A more affordable version with a conventional engine may appear in the future. The car is also promised in Russia, but with a slight delay. (photo: Great Wall)
