In 2021, the premiere of a special version of the revived Ford Bronco SUV took place – the DR version was built by the American automaker together with its long-time partner, the Canadian engineering company Multimatic. The Desert Racer, the most powerful production version of the SUV, debuted at the 2022 SCORE Baja 1000 race, and then fifty examples hit the market. One of which has now suddenly appeared on sale at a huge price.
The Bronco DR features a redesigned and strengthened frame and body structure, a lightweight fiberglass body, a powerful High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension with 17-inch wheels shod in 37-inch BFGoodrich tires, and a mighty 400-horsepower 5.0 -liter Coyote V8 coupled with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The SUV can boast a dual-range transfer case, front and rear differential locks, as well as a number of other improvements. The extremely lightweight car is devoid of all comfort elements and “extra” trim, but has a safety cage, Recaro Pro Racer racing seats with Sparco seat belts, a Motec telemetry system and a communication system.
