Shenshou/Monster debuted in China in 2021 as an independent model on the LEMON platform. In the home market, the crossover is available with a 1.5-liter turbo engine producing 184 horsepower in conjunction with a “robot” (front-wheel drive) and a 2.0-liter engine with 224 horsepower. power with all-wheel drive. In Russia, Monster is called the new generation F7. If we compare these two models, the Monster is slightly longer, wider and lower than the current F7 – it is mid-size (4780 x 1890 x 1675 mm with a wheelbase of 2800 mm), and not compact, that is, closer to the Geely Monjaro. It is logical to assume that the new product will cost more than the F7, which as of the end of November can be purchased for 2.4 million rubles. In China, prices for Shenshou/Monster range from 130 thousand to 167 thousand yuan (1.6-2.06 million rubles).
In the photographs published on the Haval owners forum, you can see that the crossover has an original nameplate with hieroglyphs. On “commodity” cars there will be the F7 index familiar to Russians.
The current F7 is produced at the Haval plant in the Tula region. Its coupe-like version, the F7x, is also assembled there. Probably, a cross-coupe will be made from Monster, although, as Chinese Cars write, in China the project of a coupe-like Shenshou/Monster was frozen.
