The first production example of the coupe will be put up for auction at Sotheby’s. The car is based on a specially designed carbon fiber monocoque. The power unit is a 510-horsepower 4.0-liter flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The model’s circulation is only 70 copies. And it looks like this is the first time the SCR will be put up for public auction.

The Ruf SCR sports car will be put up for sale at Sotheby’s auction house on July 27 in Tegernsee, Germany. This is a rather rare coupe with a circulation of 70 units, which was first shown at the Geneva Motor Show in 2018. The lemon-green car is the first production model of the two-door. And according to preliminary estimates, it can be offered for 1.1-1.6 million euros, which is equivalent to 105-153 million rubles.

Although the Ruf SCR can easily be mistaken for a restomod, the similarities to the Porsche 964 are purely nominal. The coupe is based on a new carbon fiber monocoque. The outer panels are newly manufactured, and their shape is optimized using computational fluid dynamics methods. The suspension is double wishbones, with horizontal shock absorbers on both axles. The car is powered by a 4.0-liter flat-six from the 911 GT3 RS, tuned to deliver 510 horsepower and 470 Newton-meters.

The unit is coupled with a manual gearbox. The coupe accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, to 200 km/h in 11.9. The passport maximum speed is 320 km/h. It is not so easy to cope with the SCR, especially considering that there is no auxiliary electronics here. But the sports car is not without a touch of luxury. The interior with an integrated frame is generously trimmed with brown suede, the RUF logo, a mountain landscape, a deer head and the outline of Bavaria are embroidered on the headrests of the bucket seats. The options on the car include body-colored brake calipers, an exhaust with a switchable valve and a hydraulic lift of the front axle.

The coupe’s mileage is 11 thousand kilometers, of which about five thousand were wound by Ruf itself as part of an extended testing program. By the way, the 500-horsepower Singer DLS restomod, developed with the participation of Williams Advanced Engineering and the legendary Porsche engine designer Hans Mezger, will cost about a million more, and the exterior was designed by conceptual designer Daniel Simon, ex-Volkswagen Group stylist and author of the Lotus C-01.
