As part of the Porsche Sonderwunsch factory program, Exclusive Manufaktur specialists made a special sports car, the current generation Porsche 911 Turbo S. The inspiration came from one of four Porsche 959s that the predecessor Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur built for a customer in the late 1980s. The modern coupe was not created for sale, but in the end it was bought from the factory by the head of the Milanese luxury brand Larusmiani, Guglielmo Miani.

The highlight of the model is the paintwork in the spirit of the Porsche 959. Today’s interpretation does away with the polarizing dark gold, which has been replaced by a carefully hand-applied Urban Bamboo paintwork using the Chromaflair process, a technology that involves applying five layers of paint. The special feature is the fine pigments in the top layer, which allow the viewer to see different shades of color depending on the viewing angle and lighting. In addition to Urban Bamboo, Porsche also offers Chromaflair paint in Python Green, Magic Magenta, Shifting Carbon, and Explosive Gold.

As in the historic 959, the three-color design stripe extends from the front fenders, through the doors and fenders all the way to the rear. The line followed by the stripe was first adapted and optimized to the 911’s shape by designer Grant Larson of Style Porsche using stripe during the design phase. The painted stripe is hand applied in Rock Green Metallic (699), Jet Green Metallic (Z6H) and Anthracite Brown Metallic (M8S).

This theme continues into the interior, with three colored stripes decorating the center of the door panels. The front seat center panels contrast with the black leather upholstery and feature color accents in Slate Grey, Agave Green and Island Green. Carefully hand-stitched Island Green cross-stitched stitching can be found on the top of the dash, door panels and rear quarter panels. In addition, the trunk of the sports car is completely lined with leather. The list of equipment for this Sonderwunsch model includes almost 50 items.
