We are talking about a batch of Denza N7 crossovers – a joint development of the Chinese corporation BYD and Mercedes-Benz, which debuted in China just a year ago. As Autonews.ru writes, a batch of such cars was delivered to showrooms; they were valued at 7.2 million rubles for a modification with a 530-horsepower electrical installation. In China, N7 costs from 301.8 to 379.8 thousand yuan (3.9-4.9 million rubles at today’s exchange rate).

Back in 2010, BYD and the Mercedes-Benz Group, which at that time was called Daimler, created a joint brand Denza, under which it was planned to produce premium electric cars. The N7 model debuted in March 2023, when several power plant options were announced for it. As of mid-autumn of the same year, the electric crossover ranked third in terms of sales in its segment (electric cars costing from 300 thousand yuan), only Nio ES6 and ES8 were ahead of it.

In China, the model is available with one or two electric motors. A battery charge with a capacity of 91.4 kilowatt-hours is enough for 702 kilometers for the single-wheel drive version and 630 for the all-wheel drive version.

The electric vehicle is based on an advanced e-platform 3.0 architecture with battery cells integrated into the power structure of the chassis; N7 is equipped with an innovative thermal control system and a lidar autopilot.

In total, the Denza line will include five models in different segments, each of which will be marked with its own letter – D, E, N, Z or A. These are minivans and crossovers, as well as sedans and coupes. The brand is not officially represented in Russia.
