In the context of the transformation of the Russian car market and the departure of some global players, new opportunities are opening up for Chinese manufacturers. So the Haima brand signed an agreement to assemble its models in Russia.

The MVL Auto company, which is the official distributor of Haima, has entered into an agreement with the Fesco transport group on logistics support for production. Fesco will deliver vehicle kits through Vladivostok and land border crossings not only for assembly in Russia, but also in Belarus and Kazakhstan, where MVL Auto is also present. At the moment, the brand offers Russians the 4.8-meter-long Haima 7X compact van and the S8 crossover, similar to the Toyota RAV4, at prices starting from 3.6 and 3.2 million rubles, respectively.

Haima has a rich history, dating back to the 80s of the last century, when the brand was created as a joint venture between the Chinese province of Hainan and the Japanese auto giant Mazda. The brand already tried to gain a foothold in the Russian market in 2011-2016, even setting up local assembly at the Derways plant, but then did not achieve significant success. Now the Chinese expect to correct the situation and open 40 car dealerships throughout the country within a year with the prospect of increasing their number to hundreds. (photo: Haima)

At the same time, the domestic AvtoVAZ is also establishing production abroad. In particular, it recently became known that the Lada Granta model will be produced in Azerbaijan.
