As part of an agreement with the Leapmotor company, the T03 battery-powered hatchback was installed on the production line at the Stellantis plant in Tychy. The cars are assembled using the large-knot method, and parts for the electric car will be supplied from China, despite the increase in customs duties. In the future, production of two more models will be launched at the same site, including the A12 crossover, writes Reuters.

Leapmotor T03 is the cheapest model of the Chinese brand. Depending on the version, the range of the electric hatchback ranges from 200 to 400 kilometers. At home, you can buy an electric car for 49,900–69,900 yuan (approximately from 605,000 to 850,000 rubles at the current exchange rate).

At the first stage, budget electric cars are assembled in test mode. The Polish car plant will begin serial production in September. In 2025, the company will start producing components for the A12 crossover, which has not yet been presented even in China. At the same time, there are no plans to localize the assembly of the C10 SUV, since the cars can be imported from China and sold at a price that compensates for all costs.

At the end of May, it became known that the Kaluga plant would produce Citroen C5 Aircross crossovers. Components for the model will be supplied to Russia from China.
