The authorities of Tuva have established a reward for such complaints, the official portal of the republic reports. Each message will be rewarded in the amount of 2,500 rubles, if, of course, the driver’s condition is confirmed during further actions of the traffic police. There are many drunk drivers in Tuva, the authorities note: they are responsible for a third of all accidents on local roads.

To get the money, you need to complain about a drunk driver to the Department of Regional Security or the duty officer of the Tuva government, and then apply for a cash reward within 45 days. If the complaint is not false, the reward will be paid within 10 days.

This is not the first time that Tuva has encouraged residents to help in the fight against drunk drivers, of whom 5-6 are caught daily. Previously, they began offering money to settlements with the least number of “drunk” incidents.
