Now the company is studying the possibility of partnership with Russian automakers, Andrey Belevtsev, senior vice president, head of the Technologies block of Sberbank, told Gazeta.Ru. The Russian-language conversational AI model has everything needed to be implemented in a car, he said.

Belevtsev noted that generative AI in transport is, first of all, a convenient voice interface with which the driver can control certain functions of the car. According to GigaChat itself, it can already “find answers to car-related questions, provide information about the nearest service centers, help with route planning and many other tasks.”

Sber launched GigaChat in test mode in the spring of 2023, and access to the neural network with the meme name was opened for everyone in September last year. At the same time, a bot appeared on Telegram. Now he speaks Russian and English.

Russian AI can communicate, write texts and code, and draw pictures on demand using Kandinsky 2.2, Sber’s neural network for generating images.

The “friendship” of neural networks with machines was not invented in Russia. In the second quarter of this year, Volkswagen plans to integrate AI into its models: Tiguan, Passat, Golf and ID electric cars – ID.3, ID.4, ID.5 and ID.7 – will receive ChatGPT. Peugeot, Mercedes-Benz and General Motors also talked about implementing a chatbot.
