The YouTube channel Carwow has arranged a battle involving six variants of the Audi R8 model, which has already left the stage. To pay tribute to the iconic German sports car, they brought together the R8 V8, GT Spyder and LMX of the first generation, as well as the R8 RWS, R8 Spyder Performance and R8 GT of the second generation in a straight race. The cars differ in their characteristics even within the same generation, which makes such a battle very interesting and unpredictable.

The original coupe was equipped with a 4.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 producing 414 horsepower and 430 Nm, coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission and all-wheel drive. This Audi R8 weighs 1560 kilograms. The Audi R8 GT Spyder, weighing 1,640 kilograms, already has a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 producing 560 horsepower and 540 Nm, coupled with a 7-speed robotic gearbox and all-wheel drive.

The second generation of the Audi R8 coupe in the R8 GT version has a similar 10-cylinder engine, but with 620 horsepower and 565 Nm, with a 7-speed robotic gearbox and rear-wheel drive – the car weighs 1,570 kilograms.

The Audi R8 Spyder Performance is equipped with a V10 with 620 horsepower and 580 Nm, a similar “robot” and all-wheel drive with a weight of 1695 kilograms. Finally, the Audi R8 RWS with the same engines and transmission has 540 horsepower and 540 Nm, but has a rear-wheel drive and weighs 1590 kilograms.
