The development of a stylish two-door with a long hood and a short rear overhang began six years ago, but the car was only recently declassified as part of the From the Vault series launched by General Motors on social networks. The company itself describes the unnamed concept as “an expressive coupe, some design elements of which were subsequently implemented on production cars of the CT5 family.”

The show car, captured in official renderings, has a distinctive front end with narrow LED strips, massive air intakes with chrome L-shaped inserts, a splitter and a compact radiator grille with a honeycomb pattern. Cameras are installed instead of exterior mirrors, and the headrests of the seats also look unusual, which can be seen through the side glass.

But the interior is simple by the standards of the concept – in addition to the headrests, the only things that can be distinguished are the seat belt buckles and decorative wooden inserts.

The stylish coupe project was never realized, and in 2019, Cadillac completely abandoned the production of “two-door” models – then the last copy of the ATS Coupe rolled off the assembly line. At the same time, at that time the company did not exclude the possibility of releasing a coupe in the future, including on an electric platform.

The brand’s electrification strategy initially envisaged a complete abandonment of internal combustion engines by the end of this decade. However, in May 2024, it became known that Cadillac had revised its plan for rapid and full electrification, admitting that it could leave gasoline models in the lineup after 2030.
