The press service of the subsidiary brand Fang Cheng Bao shared photos of the interior of the future flagship. From the front, Leopard 8 is almost no different from the “younger” Leopard 5, but the interior is three-row – there are options with six or seven seats. Separate multi-contour seats: electrically adjustable, ventilated and heated. The expected price of the SUV is half a million yuan ($69 thousand).

BYD impressed with the geometry of the all-terrain vehicle that will challenge Gelik

The Fang Cheng Bao Leopard 8 was shown live two months ago at the Beijing Motor Show, but then a prototype with heavily tinted windows appeared before the public. Now the interior is completely open, however, there are no surprises: the seats can be folded out to form a berth, the door panels are designed in a deliberately rough style, and rear passengers can have a galaxy of individual adjustments.

From the front, the interior is literally the same as the Leopard 5: the same three screens, the same brutal superstructure in the center with an abundance of hardware keys, the only difference is in the size of the touchscreen, the design of the door cards and air ducts. Of course, the “eight” is larger: length/width/height are 5195/1994/1875 millimeters.

There is no official information about the technology, but judging by the certification documents, Leopard 8 will be equipped with a hybrid power plant based on a 2.0 turbo-four (272 horsepower). The gasoline engine will not always be connected to the wheels: the main engines are electric. The expected peak output of the system is 952 horsepower, and the total weight of the SUV will be 3905 kilograms!
