Journalists from km77 tested the first ever Renault Scenic E-Tech crossover, which was challenged with the traditional “moose test”. As part of the tests, the car must abruptly change lanes – as if meeting a real animal – into the next lane and then return back. The French electric car failed to perform this maneuver at a speed of 77 kilometers per hour. The speed was below the qualifying threshold, but overall, the experts were satisfied with the handling.

The electric Renault Scenic E-Tech was tested, equipped with a 220-horsepower power plant and front-wheel drive – this is the flagship version of the electric car of this model. The test crossover was shod with 20-inch Michelin ePrimacy tires.

The station wagon failed to complete the test exercise at a speed of 77 kilometers per hour—the German model was able to stay in the corridor of cones in the “moose test” only at 71 kilometers per hour. According to experts, this is not so bad for a crossover, especially since the car is very safe to drive, and this is much more important for a family model.
