Analysts from the SberAuto service studied transactions for the purchase and sale of used cars over the past six months and found out which of them were most often purchased by users in just one day. The first places belong to models that are not officially sold in Russia: the popular Ford Focus, as well as the South Korean public sector Hyundai Solaris and Kia Rio.

Most often, Ladas were put up for quick sale; they accounted for 10 percent of such advertisements. Kia is in second place (nine percent), and Hyundai is in third (eight percent). Moreover, Ford Focus, Hyundai Solaris and Kia Rio were most often bought in one day.

Rates vary slightly depending on location of sale. For example, one-day purchases of Kia, Hyundai and Volkswagen are popular in St. Petersburg, and Ford, Hyundai and Kia are popular in Moscow. In some regions, the leaders were Lada Granta and Priora.

Almost 90 percent of cars sold are equipped with a gasoline engine, 12 percent with a diesel engine. Half are equipped with an automatic transmission, a third with “mechanics”, the rest with a “robot” or a CVT. The average mileage is 142 thousand kilometers, production years are 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2008.

Over the past year, used Lada prices have risen significantly in Russia. So, for Granta they ask on average 916,300 rubles, and a year ago it cost 758,000 – 21 percent less. Foreign cars have also increased in price, and experts believe that they will continue to rise in price due to regular changes in scrappage rules and the exchange rate.
