On the official website of the capital manufacturer, in the “Model Range” tab, a fourth model was discovered – the large crossover “Moskvich 8”. This is a three-row all-terrain vehicle, which, like other Muscovites, is a Chinese JAC with re-glued nameplates – in this case we are talking about the Sehol X8 Plus model. They promised to bring the new product to the Russian market by the end of 2024.

“Moskvich 8” noticed the Telegram channel “Autopotok” on the brand’s website at approximately 11:30, but the link led to a non-existent page. At the time of writing, the crossover had already disappeared from the site. That is, it was clearly a false start. It is still unclear whether he is hinting at an imminent premiere, since the start of production of the car is planned for October-November of this year.

The “eight” will be the largest model of the Russian brand: the length will exceed 4.8 meters. For comparison, the “Moskvich 3” is 4.4 meters from bumper to bumper. The new model will also be the most powerful: it will be equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with an output of 174 horsepower in combination with a seven-speed “robot”. The flagship will not receive all-wheel drive.

It has become known how much the gas-powered Moskvichs will cost. Moskvich liftbacks have appeared in taxis. KAMAZ has fully revealed the “charged” version of the Moskvich.

The interior will feature two 12.3-inch displays and a wireless phone charging bay. The equipment will include all-round cameras.

Meanwhile, demand for Moskvichs is falling. Almost three thousand cars were sold in March, 2.2 thousand in April, and 1.75 thousand in May. Most often, Russians choose the gasoline crossover with index 3. Sales of the other two models in the last month of spring did not exceed a couple of hundred units.
