Journalists from km77 tested the new generation of the Peugeot 2008 compact crossover, which was challenged by the traditional “moose test”. During the races, the car must suddenly change lanes – as if meeting a real animal – into the adjacent lane and return back to its lane. The French crossover managed to perform this maneuver at a speed of 76 kilometers per hour. The speed turned out to be below the qualifying threshold, but this did not disappoint the experts.

The test was an electric version of the e-2008 model, equipped with a 156-horsepower electric motor, which is combined with front-wheel drive. The Peugeot tested was fitted with 17-inch Continental EcoContact 6Q tires.

The crossover failed to complete the test exercise at a speed of 77 kilometers per hour – the French model was able to stay in the corridor of cones in the “moose test” only at 76 kilometers per hour. However, experts emphasized that the crossover showed exemplary and safe behavior.
