The number of cars with one owner on the secondary market in Russia has been calculated

About two thirds of cars offered on the secondary market have only one owner, calculated the service “Reports Avto.ru”. In 15 percent of cases, the car’s mileage is less than 100 thousand kilometers. Most cars with one owner are VAZs, as well as Nissan, Kia, Hyundai and Toyota.

From January to May of this year, almost 80 thousand ads were published on Avto.ru with cars older than 10 years, which, according to the sellers, had only one owner.

According to analysts, you can find a car with one owner faster if you look in the section from 10 to 20 years. 100 thousand kilometers is a small mileage for a car of this age. According to statistics, the average annual mileage in Russia exceeds 18 thousand kilometers: that is, by ten years it is approaching the 200 thousand mark.

Among 30-year-old cars, there are noticeably fewer such offers. Although there are cars with low mileage there too, if, of course, you believe the advertisements. A third of them have from 50 thousand to 100 thousand kilometers on the odometer, and 16 percent have less than 50 thousand.

Interest in used cars in Russia is growing, but not very actively. In May, almost 513 thousand such cars were sold on the secondary market – 0.7 percent more than in April. Lada holds the lead, followed by Toyota and Kia.
