INEOS Automotive has unveiled the Grenadier 1924 SUV, which will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Belstaff brand and will be released in limited edition. This car will have a two-tone body and special interior trim. The engines are standard: BMW 3.0-liter petrol or diesel six, combined with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

INEOS Automotive has generously produced the first special version of the Grenadier SUV. The year 1924 in its name refers to the centennial anniversary of the English clothing brand Belstaff, which gained fame thanks to its indestructible jackets and motorcycle equipment. The special edition is based on the Fieldmaster package. The car features a two-tone Magic Mushroom/Inky Black paint scheme, exclusive 17-inch wheels and a blacked-out grille. Inside, buyers will find dark green decor and a steering wheel trimmed in black saddle leather.

The range of power plants is the same as the regular Grenadier: with a choice between the BMW B58 petrol six and the B57 diesel. In the first case, the output will be 286 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque, in the second – 249 horsepower and 550 Nm. There is only one gearbox – an eight-speed ZF automatic with a reinforced torque converter and manual mode. All-wheel drive comes with a two-speed Tremec transfer case (2.5:1 ratio) and a locking center differential.

Ineos Grenadier: Defender’s true heir or impostor?

The Grenadier has just two fixed trims: the Fieldmaster and the Trialmaster, named after one of the Belstaff jackets. Moreover, unlike the comfortable Fieldmaster, the Trialmaster is more designed for off-road use. Therefore, this SUV is equipped with Eaton differential locks front and rear, BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires, a snorkel, external “unloading belts” and an additional battery. Prices for the Grenadier in the UK start from £64,500. But the 1924 version will most likely be more expensive due to the limited edition.
