Tiny Fiat Topolino Transformed Into Luxury Electric Beach Car

In 2023, Fiat revived the Topolino microcar as a tiny electric vehicle. The original car was produced from 1936 to 1955, and the current version is officially classified as an electric quadricycle and is positioned as a vehicle for beach trips. Castagna Milano, a company that specializes in unique one-off cars or unusual tuning, presented two versions of the luxury quadricycle – with a standard and extended base.

The company known for its modifications of the Fiat 500 under the name Spiaggina has offered similar modifications for the Topolino. The model has lost its roof and pillars, instead of which a soft folding awning has been proposed. There are fender extensions, and the thresholds and the rear “deck” are covered with high-quality wooden panels with aluminum handles, referring to luxury yachts.

For those who find the Fiat too compact, there is a version with a rear overhang extended by 300 mm, which offers more space for luggage or can be used as a resting or picnic area. The quadricycle has a variety of paint and finish options to choose from.

The new model retains the standard 8-horsepower electric motor coupled with a 5.4-kilowatt battery, which allows the electric car to travel up to 75 kilometers on a single charge. The battery fully charges in about four hours. At the same time, the maximum speed is electronically limited to 45 kilometers per hour. The cost of the model from Castagna Milano starts at 25,000 euros or from 35,000 euros for a longer version, with the price of a quadricycle, which in Italy costs only 7,544 euros.
