The first to go to the officials will be the Aura, also known as the elongated Vesta of increased comfort, which is now being assembled individually. Iskra will “go at the second pace” next year, when it enters the production line, Sokolov specified.

The volume of deliveries of new Lada products will depend on budgetary allocations. AvtoVAZ, in turn, is ready to satisfy any order from the Ministry of Transport, the head of the automaker assured.

Following the instructions of President Vladimir Putin on the priority use of Russian cars, the Ministry of Industry and Trade promised to purchase “long” Lada Vesta for its needs last fall. In March 2024, the head of the ministry Anton Siluanov announced the arrival of the first Aura in the garage of the Ministry of Finance. In addition, the former governor of the Samara region, Dmitry Azarov, switched to Aura.
